How does visual art affect you as a student?
Using visual arts in different learning areas helps students to participate, and this will develop their confidence. As they enjoy doing artwork, their knowledge and abilities also escalate. Each student may respond well to the individualization of learning.
How can learning visual elements of art help you?
Understanding the visual elements of art is of key importance to see like an artist. Rather than looking at an object as what it represents, you will learn to see that object as an arrangement of different visual elements (shapes, textures, colors, lines, etc). This may influence your art, usually not for the better.

Art communicates in different ways, including through symbols or allegory, in which a figure stands for an abstract idea. For example, in the Eugène Delacroix painting Liberty Leading the People, a striding woman represents the concept of liberty.

Secondly, knowing what the elements of art are, it enables us to describe what an artist has done, analyse what is going on in a particular piece and communicate our thoughts and findings using a common language.
